While searching for treasure, the mercenary discovers a magical artifact that surpasses even his wildest dreams: the ancient armor of Bartuc, the legendary Warlord of Blood. But the mysterious armor is cursed and harbors sinister powers. On the run from demons who want to use the sinister artifact for their own nefarious purposes, Norrec must master an almost uncontrollable thirst for blood and uncover the truth about the terrible curse—or risk being lost to the darkness forever...

Excerpt:
“The first step,” his companion said. “Now we must prepare the rest. You still remember that, don’t you, my lord?”
“I remember that very well, Karybdus,” Aldric murmured, uttering the other man’s name for the first time in days. Just as he had done earlier with the sarcophagus, he ran his fingers over the artifact as if a beloved were standing before him.

Karybdus began to take off his traveling coat while saying in his usual calm manner, “Then we must get started. Time is of the essence.”
As his coat slid to the floor, it became clearer how he was dressed. Aside from three strange bands running across his chest and three more extending down to his stomach, he was dressed entirely in black. A shield covered one shoulder, which, upon closer inspection, would likely have turned out to be the skull of a creature armed with horns and fangs—a creature whose existence would never have been possible in the realm of mortals. The skull, like the bands, was as white as bone.

Much of what the gray-eyed sorcerer was clad in—with its ridges and scales—was more reminiscent of reptilian armor. But as soon as Karybdus moved, his clothing clung to his body as smoothly as if it were pure silk. Nor did he make a sound whenever he took a step. His leather boots reached above his knees and blended seamlessly with the rest of his armor.
At his waist he wore the dagger with which he had just effortlessly neutralized the undead Vizjerei. The weapon still glowed and pulsed as if it were alive. Its serpentine blade tapered to a needle-sharp point.

On the booklet was a symbol that left no doubt as to Karybdus’s identity. It depicted a serpentine creature with a scale hanging above it. While some might have recognized the creature as a dragon fairly quickly, few would have been able to explain why the scale was positioned in this way.
The dragon was known as Trag’Oul, the linchpin of cosmic balance. Trag’Oul, who was almost like a god and watched over Rathma’s followers.
The Necromancers.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1012/5017/1228/files/diablo-mond-der-spinne-roman-ydditp004-coverjpg-3014355.jpg?v=1776525824
