Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
The near future. The White Plague has severely decimated humanity. Today’s civilization is now nothing more than a fond memory. All of Europe has become a danger zone. Survival is only possible in fortified cities and settlements. Rules are essential for survival in the danger zone.
Every child knows that—until they become a teenager!
Laziness, defiance, insubordination, violence… Zack and Archer Goodwoody have gone too far. Since their parents’ death eight years ago, the brothers have looked out for each other at the city orphanage. In doing so, however, they’ve thoroughly alienated the authorities. In a society struggling to survive, there’s little sympathy for people like them. But because of their youth, they’re given one last chance. They’re sent to one of the settlement projects right in the middle of the danger zone: Settlement No. 16, also known as Fort Apache. If you don’t conform here, you’ll be cast out beyond the settlement’s walls. And those walls are watched by countless, greedy eyes. Constantly.
Zack wants to seize this last chance to make friends and build a life for himself in the settlement under the watchful eye of the strict director, Miss Kingsten. But for Archer, who is hungry for life, rules apply only to others—if at all. He takes what he wants, because tomorrow he could already be dead.
Zack has to make a decision.
Does he want to be part of the problem or part of the solution?
Loyalty or Reason?
The fate of the entire settlement depends on it.
Traumatized teenagers, strict rules, two-faced adults, weapons, and the white plague outside the walls. An explosive mix. When hormones come into play, the critical mass is reached, and disaster takes its course during this hot summer, somewhere in Europe...
With GUNG HO, the perfectly matched comic artist duo Benjamin von Eckartsberg and Thomas von Kummant are releasing a work that offers an explosive “genre blend of teen drama and action-adventure-survival story.” The five-volume project is already the third collaboration by the Bavarian comic artists, who previously enjoyed great success both at home and abroad with their adaptation of Hohlbein’s *The Chronicle of the Immortals*.
