Two schools, two completely different worlds, and an encounter that could change everything. Sometimes all it takes is a slice of cake and the courage to look beyond other people’s prejudices.
Rin attends a high school that has anything but a good reputation. Poor grades, fights, and students whom hardly anyone believes have a bright future are part of everyday life there.
Things are very different at the neighboring girls’ school.
This is where Kaoru goes to school—a prestigious elite institution where academic excellence, wealthy families, and impeccable behavior are of the utmost importance.
Although the two schools are practically next door to each other, their worlds could hardly be more different. Prejudice and mutual animosity prevail among the students.
But then Rin and Kaoru meet, of all places, at Rin’s family’s café.
Far removed from school uniforms, social expectations, and the poor reputations of their respective schools, the two get to know each other.
And they quickly realize that they find each other extremely likable.
While Rin hides a surprisingly gentle and considerate side behind his intimidating appearance, Kaoru meets him with an openness he’s hardly used to seeing in others.
A special connection slowly develops from a chance encounter.
But can the two of them really grow closer when their schools and their entire social circles seem to be doing everything in their power to keep them apart?
