Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.

A romantic date, an important step in their relationship—and suddenly, four girls who strongly disapprove of Rintaro and Kaoruko’s love. Sometimes the biggest obstacles aren’t mean mothers-in-law, but your own classmates!
Things couldn’t be going any better between Rintaro and Kaoruko. Although they attend two completely different schools, they’ve learned to look past social prejudices and love each other for who they really are.
Their relationship even reaches an important milestone: Rintaro officially introduces himself to Kaoruko’s mother and her brother!
This is a big step for the usually reserved boy, who is often completely misjudged because of his intimidating appearance.
But just as their young love seems to be on the right track, the next challenge already looms.
A Date with Unexpected Spectators
Just as Rintaro and Kaoruko are finally hoping to enjoy some time together again, they’re spotted—of all people—by four female classmates from Kaoruko’s elite school, Kikyo.
And they’re anything but thrilled!
After all, Rintaro attends the notorious all-boys school Chidori, whose students have a terrible reputation among the girls at Kikyo.
The friends are worried about Kaoruko and at first can hardly understand why she’s dating a boy from that school of all places.
Can old prejudices be overcome?
To defuse the situation, Subaru takes the initiative.
She tries to allay her classmates’ fears of the Chidori boys and even suggests that the two groups get to know each other in person.
After all, perhaps an honest conversation would help finally break down the deep-rooted prejudices between the schools.
Rintaro also wants to support Kaoruko and her friends. And to do so, he makes a decision intended to clearly show just how serious he is.
But will the girls be willing to set aside their preconceived notions?
Kaoru and Rin 09 focuses not only on the relationship between Rintaro and Kaoruko, but also on the friendships between the two school communities.
With great warmth and sensitivity, Saka Mikami tells the story of how difficult it can be to overcome ingrained prejudices—and how much courage it takes to give other people a real chance.
A beautiful sequel full of romantic moments, honest emotions, and the realization that sometimes a single personal encounter can make more of a difference than a thousand rumors.

Rintaro has finally worked up the courage to meet Kaoruko’s family. You’d think that would be the biggest challenge, right? Think again! It would be so simple, though: just have some cake together, and the misunderstanding would probably be cleared up.
