Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
The life of the icon as a graphic novel in album format!
Marlene Dietrich is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating, dazzling, and mysterious German personalities of the 20th century. Marie Magdalene Dietrich, also known as “Die Dietrich,” was born on December 27, 1901, in Schöneberg (Berlin) and died in Paris in 1992. In between lies a unique life. Marlene Dietrich is one of the few German-speaking artists of her time to have achieved international fame and recognition. The actress and singer is considered a Hollywood and style icon. In 1999, the American Film Institute named her one of the 25 greatest female screen legends of all time. She was known for her beauty, characterized by a cool eroticism, her deep, smoky voice, and the pantsuits she wore, which she made socially acceptable for women in the 1930s.
In this series of comic-book biographies, which has already paid a loving and fitting tribute to Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe, the “Blue Angel” is now also being honored—and, of course, not just the film of the same name with which Marlene Dietrich remains associated to this day, but her entire career and life are respectfully summarized here in two volumes by author Alessandro Ferrari and depicted in wonderful illustrations by Berlin-based artist Flavia Scuderi.
Coming out just in time for Marlene Dietrich’s 100th birthday!
