Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
ROMEO AND JULIET meets STAR WARS: The SAGA is coming!
The next big comic hit from the U.S. after THE WALKING DEAD! SAGA tells the story of a young, naive couple who are expecting their first child… one with two little horns and wings! But that’s just the most ordinary thing about this comic, which is bursting with brilliant ideas, unique characters, fantastic locations, and unprecedented plot twists!
SAGA is about new parents Alana and Marko, who, along with their newborn daughter, are trying to escape the decades-long war that seems to have consumed the rest of the galaxy. They come from different species and are soldiers in opposing factions, yet the two lovers fight with everything they have against the system and for the survival of their daughter, who is a thorn in the side of the political leaders on both sides.
The starting signal for an odyssey you won't soon forget!
Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples had every reason to celebrate at the 2013 Eisner Awards. SAGA took home three awards: “Best New Comic Series,” “Best Comic Series,” and “Best Writer”! SAGA also took home the 2013 Hugo Award—one of the most prestigious prizes in science fiction and fantasy literature—in the “Best Graphic Story” category. And to top it all off, it won a whopping six awards at the Harvey Awards!
