The new Superman era has begun, bringing plenty of surprises and lots of action!
For many years, Superman has been protecting Earth as a shining hero from dangers to which humanity would otherwise be defenseless! But now the Man of Steel’s powers are waning and could abandon him entirely! Just when things couldn’t get any worse, a spaceship crashes on Earth carrying a group of refugees from Warworld, the gladiatorial world of the alien despot Mongul. And it seems these refugees are survivors of Superman’s destroyed homeworld, Krypton. Their arrival threatens to spark a war between the land dwellers and the Kingdom of Atlantis, and a weakened Superman must face off against his friend Aquaman! He has no idea yet what sinister plans Mongul is actually pursuing by allowing the refugees to escape and sending them to Earth!
