The Witcher Dice Set: Crones - Brewess
In Crookback Bog, where the twisted branches of the trees were shrouded in poisonous fumes rising from a treacherous swamp, three ladies of the forest ruled over everything and everyone with their dark magic. One of them, a nightmarish witch known as the Brewess, was notorious for her mastery in brewing hideous concoctions. It was whispered that she knew more than a dozen different recipes for brewing gruesome human stews. Of the three demonic sisters, Brewess was neither the youngest nor the oldest—but she was certainly the greatest and most malicious.
Inspired by The Witcher series, we’ve designed seven multi-sided dice and a metal coin that bring to life the eerie aura of the Brewess’s dark magic. Each die features sand-colored engravings accompanied by eerie runes on a coral-red background; the highest-value sides and the reverse of the coin bear the ghostly symbolism of the Seal of the Ominous Crowns. The obverse of the coin depicts the grotesque faces of the three sisters.
The Witcher is more than just a profession or a single character. The Witcher is an entire universe brought to life by the stories of Andrzej Sapkowski, where decisions and motives are never simply black and white. Vibrant, full of unique charm, rich in unusual phenomena, and described with linguistic artistry, it later became the basis for video games, comics, tabletop role-playing games, as well as movies and TV series. If you’re familiar with The Witcher from any of these sources, you know just how captivating this universe is. For us—people who grew up with the stories from the world of The Witcher—it’s an honor to design dice based on these famous and beloved characters. We took the time to carefully consider all the possibilities for designs and color schemes—and the result is now evident in the final product. These dice were born out of passion, and we’re proud that the person who receives them will appreciate them just as much as we do… That person is you…
