The Witcher Dice Set: Crones - Weavess
In Crookback Moor, where the twisted branches of the trees were shrouded in poisonous fumes rising from a dangerous swamp, three ladies of the forest ruled over everything and everyone with their dark magic. Among them, the hideous witch Weavess stood out. She was the youngest, but just as hideous and malicious. She was notorious for her eerie tapestries, which she wove from the human hair of children. These macabre tapestries served as a means of communication for the worshippers of the Ladies of the Forest to communicate with and pay homage to their enigmatic deities.
Inspired by The Witcher series, we have designed 7 polyhedral dice and a metal coin; this set brings to life the sinister aura of the Weavess’s dark forces. Each die features sand-colored engravings accompanied by eerie runes on a brown background. The highest-value sides and the reverse of the coin bear the ghostly images of the Seal of the Ominous Crowns. The obverse of the coin depicts the grotesque visage of the three sisters.
The Witcher is more than just a profession or a single character. The Witcher is an entire universe brought to life by the stories of Andrzej Sapkowski, where decisions and motives are never simply black and white. Vibrant, full of unique charm, rich in unusual phenomena, and described with linguistic artistry, it later became the foundation for video games, comics, tabletop role-playing games, as well as movies and TV series. If you’re familiar with The Witcher from any of these sources, you know just how captivating this universe is. For us—people who grew up with the stories from the world of The Witcher—it’s an honor to design dice based on these famous and beloved characters. We took the time to carefully consider all the design and color scheme options—and the result is now evident in the final product.
