Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
33 deaths, a gruesome secret, and a village legend that might have been better off remaining just a legend.
The murder of Juzo Haikawa has raised more questions than it has answered. To find out who the enigmatic man really was, Inspector Jin Saeki and his foster daughter Kanon travel to his birthplace, Kurazuchi, in Hokkaido.
But what awaits them there is anything but a peaceful trip to the countryside.
In 1976, 33 people were brutally murdered here.
The perpetrator was Shuji Inuyama, a reclusive man with a severely disfigured face. No one was allowed to get close to him—with one exception: a boy who bore the same distinctive scars.
After the massacre, Inuyama took his own life on a mountain. All that remained was a gravestone bearing a somber farewell poem. And a story that still haunts the town to this day.
The legend of the Rikka Demon, who makes children vanish.
As Jin and Kanon try to unravel the past, the lines between old crimes, eerie superstition, and terrifying reality begin to blur.
Then the two are suddenly attacked.
And their attacker’s face is marked by countless deep scars.
*A Suffocatingly Lonely Death* Volume 4 takes the oppressive mystery and psychological thriller by Hajime Inoryu and Shota Ito in a completely new direction. A decades-old massacre, missing children, and a disturbing village legend suggest that the story behind Juzo Haikawa conceals far greater abysses than previously assumed.
Jin wanted to find answers about one dead man. Instead, he stumbles upon 33 more—and someone who apparently wants to prevent the past from ever finding peace.
Some villages have dark secrets. Kurazuchi seems to have a whole cemetery full of them.
