Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
An old enemy, eerie memories, and a little tanuki whose name suddenly raises more questions than it answers. Senzou’s past is coming back to haunt him—and it seems anything but peaceful!
After the turbulent events surrounding Hagiri and Chiaki, some calm has finally returned to Senzou, Manpachi, and Koyuki’s lives.
At least for now.
When Tachibana comes to visit, the friends encounter the raccoon bakemono Gomaru once again. But something has changed: Gomaru has a different appearance and suddenly can no longer speak.
While Manpachi quickly befriends the unusual creature, Senzou has entirely different concerns.
Strange dreams and repressed memories begin to haunt the black fox spirit.
Time and again, a human child from his past appears to him. One detail is particularly unsettling: the child bears the same name as his young protégé.
Manpachi.
Who was this child? What connects him to Senzou? And why are memories—which have apparently remained hidden for so long—surfacing now, of all times?
But the past isn’t Senzou’s only problem.
In the background, sinister figures are plotting against him, while an old danger reawakens. Senzou’s behavior is changing more and more, and his growing aggression suggests that something ominous is on the horizon.
*The Fox and the Little Tanuki* Volume 4 takes Mi Tagawa’s story in a decidedly more mysterious direction.
Alongside the usual endearing moments between Senzou and Manpachi, you’ll discover new insights into the fox spirit’s past, mysterious developments surrounding the Makami wolves, and a threat whose origins stretch far back in time.
The manga blends Japanese mythology, heartwarming friendship, humor, and an increasingly gripping fantasy mystery into an adventure that has far more to offer than just cute animal characters.
Centuries ago, Senzou proved that it’s best not to make him angry.
Unfortunately, it seems someone is trying to do just that right now.
And while Manpachi continues to believe unwaveringly in his great fox friend, a troubling question arises: What will happen if Senzou is caught up in his own past?
