Little Nightmares: Down into Nowhere

Some nightmares end when you wake up. Others are just getting started! When the mute girl Hush comes to in a freezing-cold prison cell, she faces several problems at once: an arm in a cast, no memory of how she ended up there, and surroundings that definitely don’t look like a cozy children’s home. Her only hope seems to be the mysterious prisoner Mono, who knows his way around this eerie world. Unfortunately, Mono apparently never learned what teamwork means and lets Hush down at every turn. So she has no choice but to sneak her way alone through a labyrinth of dark corridors and grotesque creatures. And no, there’s almost certainly no friendly janitor waiting behind the next door.

While Hush fights for survival, elsewhere the disillusioned detective Myra Wan finds herself on the brink of despair. Scarred by her drug addiction and a life full of disappointments, she sees little reason to go on. It is only her encounter with the young police officer Marion Guy—whose almost brazen optimism clashes with Myra’s resigned cynicism—that prompts her to make one last attempt to make a difference. Their investigation leads the two of them to a particularly unsettling mystery: year after year, children disappear without a trace. And the deeper they dig, the clearer it becomes that there might be something far more sinister behind these missing persons cases.
