Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.

Discover the epic adventure of a legendary Viking warrior in this official novel based on the game Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.
9th century A.D.: Geirmund Heljarskinn Hjörrsson comes from a venerable line of Norwegian kings and wants to prove himself as a warrior; he therefore joins King Guthrum’s Viking army and sets out with the notorious seafarers against the English kingdoms. In the process, Geirmund comes into possession of a mystical bracelet that promises him both great power and bitter betrayal. But no sooner has he arrived in England than he loses the gift from the divine smith Völund …
As Geirmund rises through the ranks of King Guthrum’s legendary army, he must, on the one hand, draw upon all his strengths to overcome the dangers of a war-torn land—and, on the other hand, realize that the battle ultimately revolves around his own personal fate …
Excerpt:
“You’re very wise for a blacksmith,” said Geirmund. “What do you foresee for me?” “Betrayal and defeat.” Völund sounded as if he were listing the yield of a poor harvest. “You will surrender to your enemy, but you won’t know who your enemy is.” Geirmund snorted derisively. “You’re confusing me with my father and my brother. I would never surrender to my enemy.” “You surrendered to the sea.” He was about to deny it when he realized he couldn’t, and he grew angry at the blacksmith. He had surrendered to the sea—that was true—but that didn’t mean he would also surrender to an enemy, no matter who that enemy might be. “Perhaps you’re not as wise as I thought.” “I’m telling the truth.” Völund’s face, framed by his silver helmet, remained completely calm. “I have no need to convince you.” Geirmund turned his attention back to the bracelet. “Why is it called Hnituðr?” “It received this name because it is part of the fate of everyone who wears it. This ring is the law. The decision to take it is yours.” The offer of the bracelet seemed to Geirmund like bait in a trap, and he wondered whether it was his destiny to take it or to refuse it—or whether he had a choice at all, for who could turn down the work of a smith like Völund? He slid the bronze dagger back into its sheath and stepped up to the altar where Hnituðr lay. Glimmering, the ring waited for him to make his choice. But Geirmund already realized that he had none. He would not refuse the bracelet. This piece was fit for a king, and if it was his ancestors who had given him his name, then Hnituðr was his by birthright. Geirmund reached out his hand for the bracelet, but as he touched it, the searing light blinded him once more and reduced his thoughts to ashes.
