Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
On Innocence and Love—Magic and Poison in Our Hearts
The young noblewoman Cléa has a promising future ahead of her alongside her future husband, Berthier, the son of the Count de l'Eau. But shortly before the wedding, she makes a most unusual acquaintance … namely, Pierrot, a mysterious magician!
Charming, gallant, and scheming—this roguish charmer takes her heart by storm: In his arms, she finds the freedom that Cléa lacks in her otherwise sheltered life. Without a moment’s hesitation, she follows Pierrot to his hidden lair deep in the forest and discovers a whole new world of wonders. But the initial euphoria of love is short-lived, and sadness and confusion take hold of the young noblewoman’s heart: Who is this Pierrot really?
Meanwhile, Berthier—left behind and at a loss—sets out in search of his fiancée, without having the faintest idea that he will soon find himself teetering on the brink of madness …
Following his highly emotional debut, *THE LOST LETTERS*, Jim Bishop presents a deeply moving graphic novel of great maturity that explores the dangers of passion and the end of innocence. MY FRIEND PIERROT is a truly philosophical fairy tale set in a dreamlike and magical world, inspired in equal measure by Studio Ghibli films such as *Howl’s Moving Castle* and the manga *Atelier of Witch Hat: The Secret of the Witches*.
