If you've always wanted to build a deck around an Egyptian God card but didn't know where to start, look no further! The Egyptian God Deck: Slifer the Sky Dragon and the Egyptian God Deck: Obelisk the Tormentor offer simple strategies for summoning either Slifer the Sky Dragon or Obelisk the Tormentor and winning the game.
Slifer, the Celestial Dragon
Slifer builds up your hand depending on the number of cards you have in your hand. This deck uses token-generating effects to gather the 3 required tributes while using fewer cards from your hand. Once you have Slifer on the field, build him up with cards that let you draw more cards, like Thunderclap Attack! Based on Slifer’s signature attack, this spell can destroy all of your opponent’s face-up monsters at any time. However, if you use it during your own Main Phase, you can draw a card for every monster destroyed!
Obelisk of the Tormentors
Unleash the true power of Obelisk the Tormentor by tributing 2 monsters you control and banishing your opponent’s monsters from the field! This deck uses self-replicating monsters to provide tributes and protect your Life Points. Obelisk’s ability can destroy your opponent’s monsters all at once, but if you summon the new Spell Card “Fist of Fate” to the field, you can negate the effect of a monster and destroy it without needing to pay a Tribute. Activate it during your own Main Phase, and you can also destroy all of your opponent’s Spells and Traps!
Each Egyptian Gods deck consists of a total of 40 cards and includes 1 Egyptian Gods card and 5 new cards – 4 unique new cards, as well as 1 "Crossing of Souls" card, a brand-new Quick-Play Spell Card included in both decks that allows you to Tribute Summon your Egyptian Gods card by using your opponent’s monsters as Tribute!
Each deck is ready to play right out of the box and comes with a Dueling Guide that explains the basic strategy and some rules you should know to get the most out of your deck. If you choose both, you can, of course, combine their strategies to create a fantastic deck that can include multiple Egyptian God cards!
