Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
Six dead children. Six potential witnesses. And one man whom everyone suspects—except those who should know him best.
What Inspector Jin Saeki discovered in a remote mansion would make even experienced investigators shudder. Several children had been locked up there and died under gruesome circumstances. The prime suspect is quickly identified: Juzo Haikawa, the missing owner of the estate.
But the deeper Jin delves into the estate’s past, the more mysterious the case becomes.
Six young people who also used to live in this house refer to Haikawa as their father. And although all the evidence seems to point to him, they are in complete agreement on one point: He cannot be the perpetrator.
Why are they defending a man suspected of being responsible for the deaths of several children? What connects them to him? And how much truth is there in their statements?
As Jin tries to untangle the conflicting information, events suddenly come to a head.
Juzo Haikawa, wanted nationwide, is apprehended.
But does his arrest really mean that the investigators are getting closer to the truth?
*A Suffocatingly Lonely Death, Volume 2* shifts the focus of this dark mystery thriller to the survivors’ past. Amid disturbing experiences of violence, familial dependencies, and contradictory witness statements, an oppressive web of loyalty, mistrust, and unanswered questions emerges.
The successful duo Hajime Inoryu and Shota Ito (The Killer Inside) demonstrate once again that human abysses can lurk behind a seemingly straightforward criminal case.
Six people claim that Haikawa is innocent. The police believe he is a murderer. And Jin must figure out whether someone is lying—or whether the truth is even worse.
