Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
A confession, a solved murder case, and finally some peace for the investigators. Well. That would have been nice.
Juzo Haikawa has been arrested. The former homeowner confesses to being responsible for the gruesome deaths of the children who were locked up. For the police, that seems to settle everything: perpetrator found, confession obtained, case closed.
But Kanon Hasumi doesn’t believe a word of it.
The young woman, who herself lived in Haikawa’s house as a child, is firmly convinced that the real killer is still at large. Her doubts also haunt Inspector Jin Saeki. Despite the seemingly clear evidence, he begins searching for answers once again.
But at first, his investigation leads nowhere. The other foster children have alibis, no new leads emerge, and, frankly, no one really wants to reopen the case.
Then the unthinkable happens.
Juzo Haikawa is murdered in his prison cell.
Suddenly, it’s not just his confession that’s called into question. The supposedly concluded investigation takes on a whole new meaning.
Who wanted to silence Haikawa? What did he actually know about the murdered children? And how dangerous is it for Jin and Kanon to continue searching for the truth?
*A Suffocatingly Lonely Death*, Volume 3, delivers a dramatic twist in the dark psychological thriller by Hajime Inoryu and Shota Ito. A disturbing crime, conflicting statements, and a murder behind prison walls make it clear that this case is far from over.
A perpetrator who confesses. A witness who doesn’t believe him. And a corpse that suddenly can no longer answer any questions.
Jin wanted to uncover the truth. Now he must ask himself whether someone is determined to prevent it from ever coming to light.
