Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
The long journey to Elfhelm is over. Kjaskar’s spirit is finally beginning to heal. For a brief moment, peace actually seems possible. And anyone familiar with Berserk knows full well: this can’t possibly last.
After a journey filled with blood, loss, and almost unimaginable horrors, Guts and his companions have reached the elven island of Elfhelm. Here, what the group has long hoped for finally comes to pass: through the combined efforts of Queen Blossomstorm, Schielke, and Farnese, Kjaskar returns to her former self.
But her healing doesn’t mean the past has simply vanished.
Although Guts and Kjaskar cannot meet face-to-face at first, they begin to speak to one another again. After all the battles and sacrifices, the group experiences a few rare days of peace—almost as if Guts might actually be allowed to stop fighting the world for once.
Almost.
For suddenly, the mysterious black-haired boy reappears—the same one who had visited Guts and his companions on full-moon nights during their journey and then vanished just as mysteriously.
His arrival at Elfhelm sets events in motion that bring the fragile peace to an abrupt end—and once again confront Guts with the past he has never truly been able to escape.
Berserk Volume 42 also marks a special chapter in the history of the legendary dark fantasy manga: Following the death of creator Kentaro Miura, his work is being continued by Studio Gaga under the direction of his close friend Kouji Mori, based on Miura’s surviving plans and discussions.
Another intense volume of this genre-defining epic, brimming with dark fantasy, horror, action, tragedy, demons, and monumental battles.
For in the world of Berserk, hope is precious.
And peace is usually just the calm before the next nightmare.
