The Reaper knows people best in their darkest moments. He hunts their souls, revels in their despair, and listens to their final screams before taking them away. After all, for a god of death, this is nothing personal—it’s simply what he does.
But ever since his encounter with the mysterious girl whose body is covered in flowers, nothing has been quite so simple. She does not fear him. Instead, she greets him with a smile—and in doing so, attracts the attention of a being who, until now, had little regard for human emotions.
In *Bride of the Death God 03*, the unusual bond between the two continues. The closer life and death come together, the harder it becomes for the Reaper to view the girl as merely another human soul.
