Asa’s love life is going about as well as expected: her date with Denji got out of hand, Yoru still wants to turn him into a weapon—and now a new threat has emerged that makes even relationship problems seem pretty harmless.
Asa Mitaka is still trying to somehow cope with her life and her unwilling roommate, Yoru, the War Devil. But after the events with Denji, there’s hardly any time left to sort out the already complicated relationship between the two of them.
For with the Falling Devil, a new, terrifyingly powerful adversary has appeared. She is one of those demons whose power stems from a deep-rooted human fear—and her abilities force her victims to confront their worst memories and traumas.
For Asa, the encounter proves particularly dangerous. Loneliness, guilt, and painful experiences from her past come crashing back at her with full force. While Yoru tries to maintain control, the battle against the demon simultaneously becomes a battle against Asa’s own despair.
And then, of course, there’s Chainsaw Man. Because even though Asa still doesn’t know who’s hiding behind the chainsaw, Denji has no intention of simply leaving her to her fate.
Chainsaw Man 14 takes a much darker turn, combining the usual grotesque action with a deep dive into Asa’s past. Amid demons, trauma, and absurdly funny moments, Tatsuki Fujimoto once again demonstrates just how quickly his story can shift from completely ridiculous to surprisingly emotional.
