Other men buy a sports car during their midlife crisis. Vegeta sells his soul to a wizard, gets an “M” tattooed on his forehead, and tries to kill his greatest rival. Everyone deals with their problems differently.
Welcome to Majin Vegeta—living proof that even a Saiyan prince with a wife, a child, and a luxurious home can still have a massive problem with his self-esteem.
Vegeta could actually be happy. He lives with Bulma, has a son, and—thanks to Capsule Corporation—probably doesn’t even have to worry about the electric bill. But no. Kakarot is stronger. KAKAROT IS ALWAYS STRONGER!
So our favorite hothead lets Babidi pump him up with dark magic so he can finally face off against Son Goku again. Because obviously, it makes perfect sense to put your own family, world peace, and all of humanity at risk just because your former rival has once again come out on top in a showdown.
Therapy? No thanks. Better to punch a few craters into the Earth’s surface.
With this approximately 15 cm tall PVC statue from Banpresto’s Dragon Ball Z Match Makers series, you can add Vegeta—in one of his most legendary and emotionally charged forms—directly to your shelf. Pair him with the matching Super Saiyan 2 Son Goku to recreate the epic duel between the two Saiyans.
Perfect for Dragon Ball Z fans, Vegeta collectors, and anyone who occasionally has a hard time admitting that someone else might actually be a little better at something.
And despite all the justified schadenfreude: Behind Vegeta’s boundless pride lies one of the most moving character arcs in the entire series. His later sacrifice for his family proves that even the biggest stubborn fool in the universe can eventually come to understand what really matters.
Majin Vegeta: First, endanger half the world; then, save the family. Character development, Saiyan-style.
P.S.: Please don’t put him right next to Yamcha. He’s been through enough without having Bulma’s new husband constantly in his face.
