Saturion, the Ravenous Jester
Once upon a midnight dreary, Saturion laughed, wicked and weary
Over many a’forgotten slays and slaughters—
As he tore—almost ripping it—suddenly there came a shift
As if someone were gently kicking, kicking at the door of memory.
“‘Tis some nuisance,” he muttered, “kicking at memory’s door.”
“Only this and nothing more.”
Ah, distinctly he did render, the Cosmos Crown surrender;
And each dying member fought him most fiercely during the war.
And yet Tury kept kicking;— a memory that won’t fade
From within the harlequin;—sorrow for those lost before—
For the eager and frightened jester;
Dragon Shields did fester evermore.
Darkness there and nothing more.
Darkness there and nothing more.
And yet— Tury at the door of memory.
Redemption—the most elusive paramour.
