Nestled along the shores of the Azure Sea lies Salzmarsch, a sleepy fishing village on the brink of ruin. Smugglers steer their ships into hidden coves and slit the throats of anyone who crosses their path. Beneath the waves, cruel Sahuagin gather and plot the destruction of one coastal town or another. Drowned sailors are raised to unnatural life through dark magic and seek vengeance. The cult of a forbidden deity reaches out from a crumbling harbor, seeking victims and willing recruits. While Salzmarsch sleeps, the forces that seek to plunder it grow stronger. Heroes must step forward to ensure the safety of the shipping routes.
This volume presents the city of Salzmarsch, which serves as the perfect starting point for a campaign centered on seafaring and the sea. Seven sea-related adventures, including the classic “The Dark Secret of Salzmarsch” and its sequels, take characters from level 1 to level 12. It also includes rules and GM tips on ships and sea voyages, such as blueprints for seagoing vessels. The appendix provides rules for both the new and classic monsters featured in the adventures.
