Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
In Volume Three of the wonderfully humorous “Siege Saga” penned by K.J. Parker, alias Tom Holt, readers learn the true story of Aemilius Felix Boioannes the Younger—the intended and unintended consequences of his life, the bad things he did on purpose, and the good things that happened in spite of his actions. It is, in other words, the story of a war that was supposed to end all wars—and of the man who was responsible for it.
K. J. Parker, also known as Tom Holt, is one of the greatest voices in humorous fantasy.
Translation: Peter Bondy
Behind the pseudonym K.J. Parker lies none other than fantasy author Tom Holt. His fans love him for his humorous take on a genre that’s often deadly serious. According to the sparse autobiographical notes in some of his books, Parker previously worked in the fields of law, journalism, and numismatics. These days, he writes books and tinker with wood and metal. It is also rumored that Parker is married to a lawyer and now lives in southern England. He is said to have grown up somewhere in rural Vermont, which has had a decisive influence on his lifestyle and work.
