Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
Four years have passed since the Fantastic Four first revealed their extraordinary powers to the world. Since then, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm have been at the center of spectacular adventures and are considered one of the most important superhero families in the Marvel Universe.
But every legend has its origins. Star writer Matt Fraction and legendary artist Mark Buckingham return to one of the earliest chapters of the F4 and retell the superhero family’s first encounter with the mysterious Mole Man. Deep underground, this enigmatic foe rules over a hidden world—and his confrontation with the Fantastic Four becomes one of their first major trials. An adventure that shows how four extraordinary individuals became a well-coordinated team.
An exciting look back at the origins of the Fantastic Four—full of a spirit of discovery, action, and that classic Marvel vibe.
A special highlight for collectors: This comic is released as an exclusive Disney Variant Cover D and is a coveted collector's item for Fantastic Four fans and variant cover hunters.
