Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
Four years have passed since the Fantastic Four first revealed their extraordinary powers to the world. Since then, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm have been at the center of spectacular adventures and have established themselves as one of the most famous superhero families in the Marvel Universe.
But every legend has its origins. Star writer Matt Fraction and legendary artist Mark Buckingham return to a pivotal moment in the early history of the Fantastic Four and retell the superhero family’s first encounter with the mysterious Mole Man. Deep underground, this enigmatic foe rules over a hidden world—and his confrontation with the Fantastic Four becomes one of their first major trials. An adventure that shows how four extraordinary individuals became a well-oiled team.
A thrilling look at the early days of the Fantastic Four—full of a spirit of discovery, action, and that classic Marvel feel.
A special highlight for collectors: This comic is being released as an exclusive Disney Variant Cover L and is strictly limited to just 444 copies—a coveted collector’s item for Fantastic Four fans and variant cover hunters.
