It’s too confusing to be this close to him, just like this. This is way too intense between us, for heaven’s sake! He’s going to press his lips against mine. Kiss me. He wants it—I can see it in his eyes. And he knows I want it, too. He can’t just ignore that! Can he?
We remain like this for another moment, motionless, our hearts beating in unison. Then a door opens, and a group of young people comes in, making a lot of noise... they see us, whistle, and exchange a few risqué comments. Matt stands up awkwardly.
