Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
Driven from his city after unwittingly killing his own brother, Bellerophon finds refuge in the home of King Proitos in Tiryns. His charm and energy quickly win the heart of the king’s wife, Anteia, who, driven by unbridled passion, confesses her love to him. As a man of honor who respects the rights of hospitality, Bellerophon rejects her, but in doing so, he makes an enemy of the queen. Through cunning and lies, Anteia convinces her husband to send the exile on a mission that spells certain death. Yet time and again, Bellerophon defeats his increasingly terrifying foes—so often that he soon comes to believe in his own divinity and thinks he has left his human imperfections behind. Zeus, the ruler of Olympus, cannot tolerate this hubris...
Great epics, mighty gods, fantastical monsters, extraordinary heroes—Greek mythology is an inexhaustible source of wonderful and exciting adventures. Even today, we can learn from it, which is why it remains a cornerstone of humanistic education around the world. “Myths of Antiquity” lets us rediscover a series of the most important legends in comic book form. Under the direction of Luc Ferry, the former French Minister of Education, the original texts have been adapted with the utmost care and brilliantly brought to life in graphic form. Each volume presents a complete myth, whose philosophical and cultural legacy is explained in a comprehensive supplementary section.
