Other grandfathers give their grandchildren candy. Monkey D. Garp throws them into ravines, exposes them to wild animals, and calls it a loving upbringing. Welcome to the Monkey D. family!
Monkey D. Garp, the legendary hero of the Marines, is a walking natural phenomenon with fists of steel, an unhealthy appetite for cookies, and about as much pedagogical sensitivity as a cannonball.
His big dream? To turn his grandson Luffy into an exemplary Marine.
The result? One of the world’s most wanted pirates.
His son, Dragon? Leader of the Revolutionary Army.
His grandson Luffy? Emperor of the Seas.
Garp? He continues to work for the World Government.
At family gatherings, the atmosphere is probably about as relaxed as during a tax audit by the Five Elders.
But don’t underestimate the old man! Garp doesn’t need a Devil Fruit, a mystical weapon, or—certainly not—a sophisticated battle plan.
He has two fists and the conviction that any problem can be solved by hitting hard enough.
With this approximately 19 cm tall PVC statue from Banpresto’s Senkozekkei series, you can add the concentrated power of the One Piece Marine legend to your collection.
Monkey D. Garp: Navy hero, Grandpa of the Year (according to him), and the only man whose punches probably have to be measured on the Richter scale.
And when Luffy gets into trouble again?
“GUM-GUM-PIS—”
“FIST OF LOVE!”
Three islands vanish from the radar.
Garp calls it discipline. The Marines call it collateral damage.
