In the final adventure, Roland and Gwendoline are forced to watch as King Arthur descends into madness. The sad story of his former wife, Queen Marmande, who died young, catches up with him and summons an old enemy. The entire kingdom is thrown into turmoil, war threatens to break out, and the lives of Gwendoline and her child—Roland’s son—are in grave danger. Roland’s fighting spirit and cunning are put to the test like never before!
Volume 7 of the complete collection of our new edition of the Franco-Belgian comic classic once again features material previously unpublished in German: the two final album-length stories that conclude the Roland series, “King Arthur’s Fiancée” and “Bleeding Walls.” In addition, “Ox Blood,” “The Fire Salamander,” “The Ghost Graveyard,” “The Bet,” “The Girl with the Purple Eyes,” “The Ferryman,” “The Love Potion,” “The Messenger,” “The Necklace,” and “The Vixen” (also appearing in German for the first time), which once again recount stories from the impetuous knight’s youth.
