Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
Is a white bedsheet all we have left?
Marjorie Glatt—thirteen years old and excessively pragmatic—feels like a ghost. She runs her family’s laundry, and her daily life is marked by unforgiving customers, unbearable gym class… and the demanding Mr. Saubertuck, who wants to destroy everything she’s worked so hard for. Wendell is a ghost. A boy who lost his life far too soon. His daily life is marked by ineffective death therapy, an identity that depends on a bedsheet, and the dangerous urge to find a purpose in the forbidden world of humans. Then their worlds collide: Marjorie is confronted with inexplicable disasters after Wendell turns the Glatts’ laundry room into his midnight playground and appears during the day as nothing more than a bedsheet. While Wendell tries to create a new life for himself after death, he unwittingly sabotages the life Marjorie is fighting so hard to maintain.
Brenna Thummlers’ SHEETS: IN THE END, ALL WE HAVE LEFT IS A SHEET illustrates a young girl’s determination to fight—even when everything in her world seems to be conspiring against her. It proves that second chances are possible—whether life feels like it’s coming to an end or has actually come to an end. Above all, however, this is a story of forgiveness and an incomparable friendship that could only have developed in an enchanted laundromat.
