Star Wars meets Japanese mythology—and suddenly, the galaxy far, far away feels completely new all over again.
In Star Wars – Visions, lightsabers, the Force, and the familiar Star Wars mythology merge with influences from manga, Japanese culture, and feudal Japan.
Manga legend Takashi Okazaki reimagines the galaxy in his unmistakable style, while Peach Momoko brings her own unique, dreamlike yet dark visual language to the Star Wars universe. Instead of simply retelling familiar stories, the creators are given free rein here—exactly the approach that has already made the Disney+ animated series *Star Wars: Visions* so special.
The result is Star Wars off the beaten path: otherworldly, beautiful, and at times delightfully unconventional. Perfect for manga readers, Star Wars fans, and anyone who’d like to see what happens when you interpret the rules of the galaxy a little more loosely.
Samurai vibes, lightsabers, and plenty of the Force. It’s actually surprising that Star Wars and manga didn’t decide to become best friends much earlier.
