Two years have passed since the “Katabuchi case.” But the story of these strange houses is apparently far from over.
Once again, the trail leads back to architect Kurihara—this time with no fewer than eleven new floor plans in tow. They come from completely different houses and, at first glance, seem to have no connection whatsoever.
But something isn’t right.
Each of the floor plans contains strange details and puzzling inconsistencies. The more closely Kurihara and his visitor examine them, the stronger their suspicion grows that the eleven houses are indeed connected—and that a much greater secret lies hidden behind their walls.
The search for the truth begins with the first floor plan. Room by room, wall by wall, and clue by clue, a picture slowly emerges—one that might have been better left hidden.
