This is the modern version of “Mjölnir,” the hammer of the Norse god “Thor” as seen in various myths and movies, featuring a fantastic LED base.
In Norse mythology, Thor—or Donar—is regarded as the god of clouds, thunder, and fertility, and, like all the other Aesir, he perished in Ragnarök. Thor was the highest-ranking and most feared of the gods after Odin. He was the son of the Aesir god Odin and the earth goddess Jörd, and thus carries the blood of both Asgard and Midgard within him. Thor’s realm in Asgard is called Thrudvangr, where he lived with his wife Sif in Asgard’s largest palace, “Bilskirnir.”
Thor’s most famous weapon was undoubtedly his divine hammer, “Mjölnir,” which was the source of his power. He also possessed the belt of strength “Megingiard,” which allowed him to further increase his immense power. His trademark, however, was the rolling thunder that heralded his arrival as he made his way in his chariot drawn by billy goats. There are countless legends surrounding Thor, the god of thunder, that chronicle his heroic deeds, such as his first battle with the Midgard Serpent, his feud with the frost giants, and how he and Loki used a ruse to recover the stolen hammer Mjölnir from Trym, the giant.
In Ragnarök, the fate of the gods, Thor, like all the Aesir, met his end. He fought the World Serpent, slew it, but then fell into the serpent’s torrent of poison and ultimately succumbed to the poison.
