Our comics, manga, and books are standard retail items and—unless otherwise expressly stated for a specific item—are not sold as flawless collector’s items or graded copies.
All items from our online store are also part of our in-store selection. They are typically displayed unboxed on the shelves so that our customers can view and browse through them. If there are multiple copies of a title available, some of them may still be in their original packaging or shrink-wrapped.
Comics and books, in particular, sometimes arrive with minor signs of wear resulting from production, shipping, or storage—such as fine scratches, creases, or slight visual imperfections. Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Over time, additional minor wear may also occur due to display in the store.
If you place particular importance on the item being in the best possible condition or in its original packaging, please contact us before placing your order. We’ll be happy to take a closer look at the item you’re interested in and can send you photos in advance if needed.
Of course, statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this.
“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here”
A man named Ian McGilles wakes up in hell. He barely has time to wonder what he could have done to deserve this. Soon he meets others who have ended up here. Among them are such colorful characters as Lucusta, the poisoner from ancient Rome; Anne Bonny, the notorious pirate captain; the composer and murderer Carlo Gesualdo; SS officer Hermann Fegelein; and Jack the Ripper, for whom hell is no stranger. Ian wants to recruit this illustrious group of historical figures, war criminals, and serial killers for his plan: nothing less than escaping from hell. While fleeing from the Guardian of the Underworld and his pack of hellhounds, Ian and his companions encounter a caravan of captive mythical creatures destined to be sacrificed. Among them is a feathered woman of breathtaking beauty who captivates Ian. Her name is … Volage.
In *WANKELMUT – THE CHRONICLE OF THE UNDERWORLD*, author Stephen Desberg (*The Scorpion*, *The Immortals*) and Tony Sandoval (*WATER SNAKES*, *DOOMBOY*, *1,000 STORMS*) bring to life a hellish landscape inspired by Bosch and Dante through his unmistakable artwork.
